DigitalProduct Specialist - Social, Healthcare and Public EntitiesWho You'll Work WithYou will be based in our Atlanta, Dallas or Waltham office as part of our Social, Healthcare and Public Entities (SHaPE) practice. You will work on our healthcare analytics products within the SHaPE practice. These products heavily leverage healthcare data (payor, provider, 3rd party data) and analytics to answer some of the most pressing questions our clients have today such as "How do we manage cost of care while improving quality?", "How do we remain competitive in the evolving healthcare landscape?", "Who are the most vulnerable patients and what interventions can we design to better care for them?"Our product development assets and teams (including our product managers and engineers) reside within the Nebula team of the SHaPE practice. The Nebula team is the "tech shop" of our practice and productizes both our analytics products and the platform and frameworks that make them possible (the Nebula Platform).The Social, Healthcare and Public Entities (SHaPE) practice is one of 10 industry practices within the firm and has a mission of measurably improving individuals' lives, livelihoods and health and creating safer and more just communities around the world. Through self-service access to analytics and data, software as a service solutions, strategic acquisitions and a vibrant ecosystem of alliances, we are redefining what it means to work with McKinsey.What You'll DoYou will design a productization strategy for a portfolio of products.In this role, you will shape the product roadmap across the portfolio and lead the innovation process to increase distinctiveness while defining features, functionality and user experience in partnership with design colleagues. You will prioritize backlog to ensure iterative development and validation as well as building comprehensive product adoption strategies like client beta programs. You will build operationalization plans and accompany the transition of our products from development to launch and create and communicate a realistic timeline and budget.You will be responsible for leading internal and external developer teams and remove roadblocks in partnership with the engineering leads and anticipate the needs of the associated services and operations once the product is released. You will lead the development of one or multiple analytics products. These products are supported by the Nebula platform and the proprietary data, libraries and frameworks it contains. Generally based upon the intellectual property (IP) we have accumulated during consulting engagements, our products mature along a standardized lifecycle: 1) bespoke analytics: logic and models co-developed with individual clients that are leveraged ad hoc to derive high quality, data-driven insights; 2) reusable componentry: software libraries and standard enrichments that generalize analytics across several clients, deployed in concert with consulting services; and 3) as-a-service solutions: collection of products and services that are deployed to sustain client impact over time (e.g. DaaS,...
