Nuance Healthcare Product Strategy Consultant in Austin, Texas

Position Summary: 

The DAX Outcomes Specialist role is an exciting new opportunity to advise Nuance’s customers and customer-facing roles regarding the value that Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) brings to providers, patients, and organizations. You will serve as a subject matter expert, leveraging your understanding of clinical documentation, provider workflows, reimbursement, patient satisfaction, and provider burnout to assess and optimize the value of DAX for customers.

Core Responsibilities:  

  • Consult with customers to understand their priorities and assist in establishing a business case for DAX, including the use of existing ROI tools

  • Partner with customers to select appropriate KPIs to measure impact of DAX on focus areas

  • Support Sales and Customer Success teams on calls and meetings to assess and quantify the value delivered by DAX

  • Identify and demonstrate opportunities for DAX to add value for providers using a variety of data sources, including data from Electronic Health Records (EHR) (Epic Signal, Cerner Lights On, Athena CareCheck, etc.)

  • Review and analyze customer outcomes data from a variety of sources and build/deliver customer presentations which clearly explain insights

  • Identify and implement improvements to existing DAX outcomes / ROI processes and tools to meet the needs of customers and internal stakeholders

Knowledge, skills and qualifications

Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience Minimum years of work experience: 5+ years of related experience with 3+ years in leadership-facing roles

Required skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling presentations and communicate effectively with healthcare executives (especially CIO, CMIO, CFO)

  • Proven ability to analyze and tell stories with data

  • Demonstrated ability to understand organizational priorities and build compelling business cases

  • Working knowledge of EHR clinical documentation and related experience (especially Epic and/or Cerner)

  • Working knowledge of outpatient provider workflows and outpatient healthcare finance

  • Proficiency using Excel for data manipulation and analysis

  • Proficiency using Powerpoint to build effective presentations

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Proven ability to effectively manage priorities and dynamic workload in a customer-focused role

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites (<10%)

Preferred Skills: 

  • MBA or equivalent work experience building business cases and understanding stakeholders’ incentives

  • Experience working with EHR systems, especially ambulatory and revenue modules

  • Experience managing EHR training or provider EHR coaching programs, especially ambulatory and revenue modules
