Job Description

We have an opportunity to join our Healthcare Solution Engineering team to focus on our healthcare payer (insurance) customers in the western US. In this role you will play an important role in building and sustaining customer relationships, while driving the adoption of our solutions to achieve our revenue goals. You will be a key part of our core sales team working to build long-term business relationships within assigned “named” accounts.

This is a high-impact, highly visible role responsible for ensuring pervasive enterprise adoption of VMware software and solutions and closing enterprise transactions within assigned accounts in the Healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

  • As the core SE you will be the technical leader for their territory both internally and with our customers helping to evangelize our solutions and develop compelling visions for our customers and focusing on successful customer outcomes.

  • You will present and demonstrate VMware’s value proposition, technologies, strategy, and product roadmaps to all levels at their customer including executives, technical management, and technical engineers.

  • You will build deep, consultative relationships with your customers, effectively becoming a trusted adviser, understanding the customer's high-level business objectives, and developing VMware solutions to satisfy the customer’s business and technical requirements.

  • You will lead the technical stages of the opportunities in your territory including technical discovery, overall solution design as well as the technical validation, presentation and demonstration of the solution.

  • You will work with your assigned Account Executive(s) to develop business cases and value justifications to support world-class value propositions to your customer.

  • As a technologist you will continually grow and expand your technical expertise and knowledge of VMware technologies, industry direction and trends, and competitor’s solutions.

Qualifications:

  • We are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter with an outgoing personality, comfortable working both independently and in a team setting.

  • You should be curious – always willing to learn, dig in to understand customer challenges and business impacts of those challenges and seek creative solutions to those challenges.

  • While the ideal candidate will have experience with healthcare insurers, candidates with healthcare and/or financial/insurance experience are encouraged. Most important is the desire to work with customers to transform this vital industry.

  • You have been in the information technology industry and possess relevant technical experience, with preference for technical sales or customer-facing consulting experience.

  • You have a passion for helping customers transform their business improving employee and member experience. Ideal candidates will have experience driving this change with one or more of the latest technologies in the AppDev, cloud, networking, security and end user experience arenas.

  • Your strong customer facing and relationship building skills help you build deep long-lasting customer relationships

  • You should have strong networking skills and be able to effective in a matrixed organization

  • You will travel up to 50-75% of the time

  • Your BA/BS degree or equivalent gives you the skills to continually learn

  • You will be able to achieve a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) designation or similar technical certification.
