Job Description Summary

Leads the global commercial operations organization for Healthcare Digital. Responsible for leading a high-performing commercial operations team in the creation, development, delivery and evolution of a sales strategy, commercial excellence, deal desk and pricing to include enablement tools and programs that enhance the frontline execution of sales and service processes. The role will provide strategy, leadership, direction and execution of the sales strategy and process and delivery of productivity improvements to the frontline sales and service teams.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead a global team of commercial excellence, commercial operations, pricing and variable compensation professionals.

  • Develop and lead sales strategy to include coverage model, sales methodology, commercial excellence and sales enablement for Healthcare Digital

  • Focus on inspecting leading indicators to include activity metrics, win rate, deal cycle time, ASP, average sales rep quota attainment, actual attainment and other key metrics to inspect and hold teams accountable to the highest payback activities and exceeding OP

  • Build and implement our sales strategy, selling methodology and tools to ensure higher sales productivity globally

  • Responsibility for long term planning recommendations, ensuring an effective and high quality variable compensation program focused on the highest payback activities and behaviors that drive success

  • Ensure adoption of commercial platforms to facilitate sales force effectiveness (SFDC and other relevant and impactful tools)

  • Develop and implement sales force effectiveness strategies that helps drive a uniform selling methodology that drives sales productivity and OP success

  • Build a world class “deal desk” team and associated skills that develops and helps deliver world class, value laden proposals that leverage all the learnings from our sales process (outcome maps, value calculators, deep understanding of our customers most important outcomes, power maps of key decision makers etc) and help us deliver proposals that can stand on their own in our customers and sell for and with us

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 8+ years of successful sales/marketing/operations leadership experience.

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in driving global initiatives for a business or function.

  • Demonstrated achievement and leadership in sales, marketing and/or commercial operations

  • Experience building systems that enable sales people and the organization as a whole to monitor key metrics to improve sales productivity and revenues.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, globally

Desired Characteristics

  • 5+ years of successful executive level management and general management experience.

  • Experience the healthcare industry and/or the software industry

  • Experience managing both direct and indirect reports; can hire, develop and retain exceptional talent.

  • Commercial experience with global markets

  • Ability to create and drive a “digital thread” connecting cross functional (engineering, product mgt, marketing, sales, eco-system and channels, comm ops, pro services, support, etc) organizations and team members to drive additional productivity and customer delight

  • Ability to simplify the use of a sales operations system ( to help ensure the information gathered is valuable, usable and helps improve sales knowledge, productivity and outcomes.

  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to use this to create meaningful strategies for the business and build commitment from stakeholders.

  • Deep understanding of sales processes, sales systems and innovative enablement solutions

  • Real world sales experience – the ability to leverage your own selling experiences to help build a system that sales people can use daily to improve all aspects of their business.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, strategic agility, manage diversity and drive for results.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and simplify appropriately for different audiences.

The [salary/hourly pay] range for this position is $150 - 175K. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a variable incentive compensation ONLY IF APPLICABLE. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement and paid leave.
