Filtration Group Corp Production Set-up Operator - Healthcare in Buffalo, New York
As a Production Set-up Operator, you will set-up, operate, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment according to pre-established procedures and guidelines. This would include setting up departmental production equipment and monitoring machinery and related devices.
Performs work in a safe manner following all company safety policies and procedures.
Participation in, or support of, lean teams and work groups. Understand and comply with all applicable requirements of the Company’s ISO/cGMP quality system as documented in the Quality Manual, System Procedures, and Work Instructions.
Knowledge to set-up and operate all departmental production type equipment assignments.
Able to operate, monitor and control all programmed machinery and/or related devices and equipment involving complicated set-ups and adjustments on non-routine work.
Participates with Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering in establishment of preventative maintenance, repair procedures, and spare parts requirements on all equipment.
Isolates the cause of malfunctions or failures, determines if the problem is mechanical and/or electrical and recommends solutions.
Checks equipment to determine accuracy of adjustment and alignment.
Performs work in process quality checks to ensure that all products meet necessary quality standards.
Notifies supervisor of impending shortages and any problems with material.
Makes recommendations for the fabrication or modification of machinery fixtures and methods.
Maintains all necessary production records, daily production reports, machine uptime reports, and reviews manufacturing orders for variances.
Maintains exceptionally precise and cGMP clean immediate work area, tools, materials and equipment acceptable to the Company per ISO/cGMP work instructions.
Loads and unloads materials to and from machines as required for production.
Performs employee training, if properly certified, under the direction of the Team Leader and in accordance with Company training policies and procedures.
Provides departmental assistance for the Shift Leader in the absence of the Team Leader.

2-4 years production equipment/manufacturing set-up experience
Strong mechanical aptitude for production equipment; effective independent machine set-up capability; attention to detail; electrical knowledge; hydraulic knowledge, pneumatic knowledge, works well with others, strong trainer, effective interpersonal skills
