The Risk and Finance Advisory team at SAS helps banks, insurance companies, and many other institutions with financial exposure quantify and manage financial risk in their organization.
What you’ll do
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will use your marketing skills and experience to define and promote SAS’ Fraud and Security Intelligence portfolio of technology, drive the launches of various solutions, and promote SAS as a leader in the Fraud, Compliance and Intelligence space. You will work closely with stakeholders in Product Management, R&D, Field Marketing, Enablement, and External Communications—owning the message, from creation to communication. You will focus on our newest cloud initiatives, as well as, healthcare and insurance use cases – experience in those fields will be highly valued.
Develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand within the Fraud and Security Intelligence portfolio at SAS, including positioning, messaging and competitive differentiation.
Leverage extensive industry/solution domain expertise and networks within the government and/or health care industries and to drive strategy and messaging in SAS’s target markets.
Act as a front-line spokesperson with external audiences. Create and deliver credible and unique viewpoints to differentiate SAS in the market.
Plan the launch of new products and releases within the product portfolio and manage the implementation of the plan.
Actively work with sales, field marketing, and product management to enable channel and product readiness.
Create and communicate positioning and product marketing plans based on Government and/or Health Care domain expertise which leads the development of messaging and positioning.
Define buyer personas, end users and target audience profiles within fraud.
Position SAS’ capabilities for the general market, specific markets and/or applicable buyers and drives the creation of key messages and stories to support decision makers and users.
Define industry and/or solution marketing strategy by working directly with analysts, consultants, customers, prospects and thought leaders as market driven inputs.
Develop and maintains relationships with influential thought leaders, consultants and partners to support awareness activities and serves as spokesperson and/or provides content for interactions with media and analyst communities.
Drive thought leadership activities including articles, whitepapers, blogs, videos, customer reference and story development, speaking engagements and involvement with key 3rd party organizations.
Collaborate to execute on social media strategy for solution/industry area.
Define product launch plans and works with internal and external parties to execute.
Identify existing and emerging technology and industry trends and articulates SAS’s position regarding these trends and issues.
Identify competitor advances in the market and works with internal parties to define and drive competitive approaches/responses.
Support sales enablement through customer engagements, consulting and internal education programs.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, Communications, or a related field; - OR - Associate's degree in the same fields plus an additional 2 years of the stated essential experience.
5+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, R&D, and/or technical sales support within the technology industry.
Experience in the fields of Healthcare and/or Insurance OR experience within a SaaS or software environment.
Ability to travel (both domestic and international) between 10 to 20%.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical internal and customer audience of all levels.
The nice to haves:
Experience in creating a range of collateral such as white papers, rich-media, social media assets, web campaigns, sales tools, etc.
Ability to translate & communicate complex technical and business information to a diverse audience.
Ability to think strategically and articulate/translate product features and customer values into user and buyer personas and scenarios.
Understanding of B2B and B2C buying processes and business needs.
Ability to both work alone, self-driven as well as part of a team.
Ability to travel as business needs dictate.
Experience with marketing technology portfolios.
