Covenant Living Communities and Services Manager, Healthcare Sales in Chicago, Illinois

The Healthcare Sales Manager will be responsible for positive occupancy outcomes at assigned communities including Assisted Living, Assisted Living Memory Care and Supportive Living levels of care. The position will work mainly in the field and across designated locations, with dedicated space at each location when working onsite. It is expected that at least 60% of the time will be spent at either location or in the market space, building relationships.

Generates inquiries from targeted referral sources and community stakeholders (that advise seniors on health and alternative living options) by developing and maintaining solid relationships.

Positions self and key stakeholders at each community as local experts through facilitating introductions, independent or joint sales calls as well as strategic marketing events aimed at professionals of influence. Stakeholders include ED, AED, HC Administrator, and SNF and RL Sales.

Creates, markets and implements engaging events for inquires both internally (Residential and Skilled) as well as outside the community to consumers, adult children (as well as professionals)

Ensures that all inquiries are responded to timely, utilizing the AL sales and follow-up process guidelines, and continues to nurture leads with a sense of urgency.

Maintains an accurate and up-to-date CRM database that mirrors the AL sales process and goals.

Works with the Sales leadership and local community leadership to develop and implement a working quarterly sales plan and submits a weekly summary report of activity and outcomes for the week.

Curates exceptional customer experience through home visits and bedside visits (clinical settings), integrates as a stakeholder in the internal transitions process.

Ensures smooth handoff to ED or other community leads from approval to operations for move-in coordination.

Influences through recommendations to local leadership opportunities for first impressions, product offerings, and rent-ready opportunities to drive occupancy.

Continuous monitoring of the market. Completes a formal annual competitive analysis for identified competitors within a defined market space. Uses this knowledge to guide strategies.

Facilitates training and continuous sales culture development within designated communities to all staff who may field an inquiry, conduct a community visit, or participate in a visit.


Required Degree: High School Diploma

Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s degree with focus on Business/Marketing


  • 5 years of demonstrated/quantifiable sales outcomes in preference to senior living, or real estate, healthcare, high- end hotels.


  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong customer service skills with the proven ability to close to the next step with prospects.

  • As dictated by business needs, must be able to work flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends.

  • Basic financial knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and revenue optimizing.

  • Understands the meaning and implications of key sales performance indicators.

  • Ability to conceptualize and implement a strategic sales plan.
