Bon Secours Mercy Health 2021 BSMH Intern Program: Healthcare Administration: Retail Pharmacy Intern in Cincinnati, Ohio

The Bon Secours Mercy Health Internship Program is a paid 10-12 week, immersive program that will expose students to the healthcare industry while also giving them the skills and experience needed to build a future career. The program also features additional opportunities for mentorship, networking, career & professional development, community service, job shadowing, and exposure to senior and executive leaders. The intern will work under the direction of Mercy Health leadership by assisting the Ancillary Services Retail Pharmacy team with special projects.
Location: Home Office in Cincinnati, OH (other locations may be available)
Dates: Monday, May 24th, 2021 - Friday, August 6th, 2021
Hours: 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks
Responsibilities:
Assist with rolling out new pharmacies across the Bon Secours Mercy Health system (Retail Pharmacies, Home Delivery Pharmacies – relocating to Mason, Specialty Pharmacy – where all prescriptions are filled)
Help expand OTC sales strategies and offerings across the ministry using our new IT capabilities
Assist with overall pharmacy program management
Coordinate product mix
Support pharmacy marketing and legal trademarking
Assist with pharmacy sales and promotions
Projecting retail pharmacy volumes
Expanded standardizes products across all pharmacy stores (expand product offering)
Perform business analysis on pharmacy pricing
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Pharmacy/Business (want to pursue the business of pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sales, Healthcare Finance or Healthcare Marketing)
Strong technical skills (intern will be trained of pharmacy systems and databases)
Strong service orientation
Self-starter with strong work ethic and sense of accountability
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be self-motivated, capable of taking initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing priorities, and effectively manage deadlines
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and have strong rapport with the leaders and colleagues
Ability to work independently
