The Project Architect will perform architectural conceptual planning/design and development work for projects involving construction of new buildings and the alteration of existing buildings and facilities. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work with a high-performing team to support other services when the need arises.Your New Role:Participate in high-energy, collaborative team and project environmentsSupport technicaldesignand documentation on projects of various sizes and complexities.Produce and overseeboth thedevelopment and reviewofcontract documents.Oversee documentation that adheres to Joint Commission and municipal public health agency requirements.Oversee coordination ofinterior, MEP, andstructuralrelated disciplines during the design phase.Improve the overall standards of design quality, both in concepts and documentation.What you will need toSucceed:15+ years of professional experience.Bachelor's DegreeinArchitecturerequired.Architectural license required.LEEDaccreditationrequired.Knowledge of all aspects of design includingdocument development,code review,space planning, programming, and vendor and contractor management.Previous experience working on complexhealthcareprojects in all phases.Strong verbal and graphic communication skills,effective client relationship skills,and talent for working with diverse teams of designers.Experience with interior documentation and detailing,including healthcare relatedcasework detailing.Experience with researching, selecting,and specifying materials and finishes.Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines.Ability to work in a collaborative, open environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Proficiency in Revit.Working knowledge ofEcotect,Rhinoceros,Navisworks,e-Specs, and Autodesk 360 suiteis a plusWhy choose NBBJ?We believe that all NBBJ employees should love their work.
