PLEASE NOTE: This position requires working onsite, at our Cypress, Ca. headquarters location; this is not a remote position. Local candidates are preferred however, you may choose to relocate at your own expense.

Essential Job Functions

  • Plans, directs and supervises facility management services including but not limited to:

  • Business and facility operating systems maintenance

  • Repair and improvement to include custodial services

  • Ensuring building code requirements are met

  • Reviews and evaluates current operating and facility personnel practices to include establishing procedures, practices and priorities in keeping with effective, successful facilities operations and support.

  • Coordination of building and maintenance operations with vendors and other departments:

  • i.e. furniture movers, painters, electricians, etc.

  • Ensure minimal impact of services on day to day operations

  • Perform technical and complex tasks of the work unit:

  • Coordinate construction projects

  • Remodels

  • Other special projects

  • Working knowledge of advanced skills include but not limited to:

  • Plumbing, carpentry, electrical, construction, painting, drywall, and other skills pertaining to the upkeep of the facility

  • Manages the repair and/or replacement of, including but not limited to:

  • Office furniture and equipment

  • Work space design

  • Coordinates and makes decisions regarding effective utilization of furniture and

  • equipment in all departments

  • Oversees day-to-day performance of Facilities staff including but not limited to:

  • Efficient workflow and distribution of workload, monitors accuracy and productivity of the Facilities staff

  • Interviews, selects and trains staff as needed

  • Sets performance standards and evaluates staff

  • Reviews work hours and time off requests

  • Establish and maintain safety protocols and standards per OSHA guidelines for the facilities department.

  • Responsible for oversight of maintenance, collection, and disposal of biohazard and sharps containers per OSHA guidelines.

  • Responsible for building maintenance to include but not limited to:

  • Daily trash disposal

  • General maintenance to upkeep the facilities

  • Develop and maintain an inventory system for: Facilities equipment, Supplies, Furniture, etc.

  • Monitor and control supplies and equipment:

  • Request supplies and tools as needed

  • Prepare documents for equipment procurement

  • Prepare specifications and contracts for contract services

  • Develop and maintain department budget:

  • Analysis and evaluates budget expenditures

  • Reviews requests for additional services

  • Administers and over sees service and construction agreements for maintenance and alterations

  • Inform/educate/implement management policies

  • Work closely with staff to ensure adherence to SOPs and regulations/guidelines

  • Promote a positive team-oriented interaction between departments

Qualifications Education

  • High School Diploma, required

  • Trade-School Graduate, preferred


  • Facilities Maintenance, Construction Foreman and/or Operations experience, 2 to 5 years minimum required

  • Experience managing and/or supervising a crew of at least 6 people, 2 to 5 years minimum required

  • Hands-on electrical, construction, property management maintenance, or plumbing experience, 2 years minimum required. Including but not limited to:

  • HVAC and various, basic electrical

  • Must have exceptional skills including, but not limited to:

  • Interpersonal, leadership and professional skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge general construction/repair skills and abilities

  • Computer Program proficiency with:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)


  • Current California Driver?s license with a clean record and active auto insurance, required

  • HVAC Certified, preferred

  • Electrician Certification, preferred
