Job Summary Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the buildingand to ensure that standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis.Housekeeping is also responsible for providing the highest level of satisfaction in cleanliness withinestablished time limitations.

PLEASE NOTE: This position requires working onsite, at our Cypress, Ca. headquarters location; this is not a remote position. Local candidates are preferred however, you may choose to relocate at your own expense .

Essential Job Functions

  • Practice OSHA safety standards at all times.

  • Constant awareness of safety hazards:

  • i.e. wet floors or leaks, broken glass, frayed electrical cords, broken locks, and suspicious person

  • Report to Facilities Manager

  • Responsible for care of applicable equipment; always keep work cart orderly and properly stocked.

  • Inspect rooms and linens before replacing with new linens.

  • Changing of used and soiled linens on beds and remaking beds as needed

  • Cleaning interior of rooms and dressers after volunteers check out

  • Thorough cleanliness and sanitation of all bathrooms, volunteer rooms, general spaces and break rooms daily

  • Fill out bathroom cleaning logs promptly

  • Remain alert, courteous and helpful to the volunteers and co-workers at all times.

  • Adhere to housekeeping shift schedule.

  • Adhere to the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Forms.

  • Removal of trash from specified areas including but not limited to outside grounds and interior alley storage area.

Qualifications Education

  • Must be able to converse in Basic English, required


  • Previous housekeeping position ? 6 months experience minimum

  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have good communication skills

  • Able to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
