Responsible for providingproduct and industry expertise. Has client facing responsibilities. Themajority of time will be balanced between analysis of clients, design andexecution of deals, and joint client calls with RMs to provide advice. Willpartner with the RMs to assist in generating revenue and profitability.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares financial underwriting on transactions. Typical transaction sizesrange from $2 Million to $20 Million. Analysis and recommendations aremade to RM and DM regarding structure and pricing. Assumes responsibility forrecognizing/ documenting policy exceptions; interacts withcustomers/prospects to gather information for credit analysis.Interacts with loan committees to provide information and/or to supportconclusion reached in analysis; serves as an accomplished resource regardingcredit/industry analysis. Participates in committee presentations;presents loan renewals independently to management or to loan committee as aRelationship Manager substitute.Participates in joint calling on credit customers/prospects; assists inthe development of new credit business through calling with RelationshipManager on existing or prospective customers to gather key information forproper credit analysis.Manages/delegates workflow of the entire department, including allocationof analysis, quarterly covenant compliance testing, financial statementspreading, and other miscellaneous services related to credit.Ensures RM's are notified of non-compliance issues; prepares summaryreports which outline any borrower's non-compliance.Writes all commitment reports for specified loans as a team member andparticipates in committee presentations; presents loan renewalsindependently to management or loan committee as a Relationship Managersubstitute.Partner with Relationship Managers to craft and deliver core and complexbusiness deals for clients.Responsible for expanding and retaining a commercial credit portfolio, willstructure credit facilities to meet customer needs and deliver service thatwill delight our clients.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Demonstrated knowledge of intermediate accounting theory, including thedifference between GAAP and income-tax based statements, cash and accrualaccounting, consolidation and elimination principals, and the effect eachtype of accounting has on the underwriting processAbility to clearly communicate and convey information and ideas through avariety of channelsAbility to leverage a network of relationships with clients, relationshipmanagers, and peers for support in achieving both the individual andorganizational goalsExtensive knowledge and understanding of credit principles, lendingfunctions, loan analysis, and application of general credit policiesExcellent organizational skills and meticulous work habitsAbility to critically review work for errors and incorrect conclusionsAbility to complete assignments quickly and efficiently with minimal directionAbility to proactively communicate with both colleagues and senior personnelConflict management skillsAbility to work efficiently under limited timeframesExtensive knowledge of loan documentation, loan policy and regulationsExtensive knowledge of the Loan Grading ProcessExcellent oral and written communications skillsAdvanced PC and spreadsheet software skillsThis level of knowledge is normallyacquired through completion of a Bachelor
