This position is responsible for supporting our Sales and Product team's analytical needs. Working closely with these business areas you will work to clarify requirements, analyze complex data, and produce and present defensible results. Outcomes may vary from a one-time ad-hoc request to an ongoing dashboard that is updated automatically on a regular cadence. Areas of focus often include sales channel, product development, benefits offered as well as client/member analytics. A Day in the Life: Uses databases (Teradata & MS SQL) for analysis, aggregation, and transformation for reporting purposes. Uses visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS) to deliver dashboards and reports. Meeting with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and develop reporting solutions. Follow data and reporting standards and best practices, establishing new standards if appropriate. Implement improvements to existing end-to-end data to insights processes. Source and procure new data and determine how to integrate into client reporting suite. Develop new proof-of-concept report views and present to stakeholders using iterative approach. Represent the division on corporate projects and lead initiatives. Nice to Have: Master's degree preferred but not required. Prior healthcare experience preferred. Advanced SQL and Tableau skills preferred. Required Skills and Experiences: Bachelor's degree in related field, with 5 years related job experience, or 9 years job related experience in lieu of a degree or a Master's degree and 3 year's of relevant experience. 2 years experience using programming and statistical software, use of various databases and other data sources, and performing analytics. Proficient with Tableau to develop reports and dashboards. (Intermediate proficiency with Tableau or equivalent required) Proficiency in Microsoft software applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and interpret complex data. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and with an ability to interpret and communicate analytical information to individuals and groups with varying levels of analytics expertise in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting with individuals having diverse professional backgrounds including business, technical, and/or clinical.
