Job Description

Responsibility Statements

  • Provides support to the project management function from initiation through delivery in alignment with client expectations and business needs.

  • Participates in or leads cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing projects.

  • Plans and directs schedules.

  • May monitor budget/spending.

  • Organizes interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project.

  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

  • Solves a range of straightforward problems.

  • Uses previous experience to identify solutions.

  • Communicates project scope, goals, and responsibilities to project team.

  • Establishes clear stakeholder expectations, and requirements of varying degrees of complexity.

  • Develops and maintains reporting procedures.

  • Prepares and distributes reports related to project activities, general project management, and financial issues.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.


  • PMP Certification – Strongly Preferred

  • Proficient in all management areas of a project plan – Communication, Finance, Integration, Procurement, Quality, Resource, Risk/Issue, Schedule, Scope, and Stakeholder

  • Working with the key stakeholders, develops the project controls, reporting, and governance structure that will be followed in accordance with organization standards

  • Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.

  • Strong Skills with:

  • MS Project


  • MS Word

  • MS PowerPoint

  • Has successfully led large, complex, client facing projects (i.e. – 12 to 24 months in length, $5M+) involving cross organizational support

  • Excellent Communication Skills – Written/Verbal

  • Ability to create and/or facilitate status reports / meetings for key stakeholders, including Senior Level Leadership and the Client that convey the current status of the project effort – Schedule, Budget, and Scope – using the agreed upon project controls and reporting structure

  • Has ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, building trust in their ability to lead the project effort

  • Has managed large, integrated project schedules (baselined) in MS Project utilizing a Work Breakdown Structure, deliverables and Check Points to monitor schedule health

  • Utilizes agreed upon governance structure and controls to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget

  • Able to identify potential scheduling issues and negotiate mitigation solutions

  • Understands when and how to escalate scheduling issues

  • Has created and managed Risk/Issue management plans for large scale projects across multiple organizations, including the Client

  • Has created and managed a change management plan to effectively manage assumptions, constraints, and changes to a project

  • Can work from broad direction and take actionable steps, possibly with the team or key stakeholders, to achieve desired results
