Mitie Services Manager (healthcare) in Greater London, United Kingdom
We are currently recruiting for a Services Manager to join our wonderful team based at St Helier's.
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Salary: £28,000 up to £35,000 depending on experience
Cleaning in Healthcare background is Preferred for this role
Sets objectives and goals for the team and what the next steps/ priorities are to meet those goals.
Is responsible for all the QHSE requirements of their team for areas of accountability
Ensures the hospital has a reputation for its high quality soft services and where possible to look for opportunities to develop this further
Ensures that patients, materials and equipment are safely and appropriately transferred around the hospital to the standard required by the Client and Mitie, as set out in the Service Level Agreement
Ensures that all colleagues are trained in accordance with clients and companies requirements meeting both hard & soft needs.
Creates and maintains a healthy safe and secure environment for all patients.
Undertakes additional duties in line with capabilities as required to fulfil requirements needed by the contract
Responsible for the day-to-day financial and operational management and delivery of the Administration, Payroll and Help Desk Department
Assists the Operations Manager & Contract Director by managing and developing suitable Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) / Management Information Systems (MI) and Help Desk input and reporting procedures and maintaining them to the required operating standards at all times
Ensures the hospital has positive feedback for its high quality portering service and where possible to look for opportunities to develop this further. Attend, follow up and resolve queries from the client, members of the public and third parties
Manages and delivers the service ensuring that contract obligations, KPIs and agreed Trust and company policies and procedures are met.
Fully responsible for purchases and stock control. Develops processes to ensure all service provisions are captured and billed correctly
Effectively resources the team in line with business requirements and takes a proactive approach through business forecasting.
Uses initiative to identity talented colleagues across their teams and site to ensure they are developed/supported through their career aspirations and building a pipeline of successors.
Ensures that engagement action plans are brought to & kept alive across the entire team, creating a positive environment that contributes to making Mitie a great place to work.
Coaches & develops their teams to be the best they can be at work enabling them to achieve their full potential.
Has a strong standard of both literacy and numeracy skills
They possess an intermediate knowledge level of all Microsoft office packages. Fully competent in the use of PCs and other types of technology
Expert in the provision of soft services with experience in a similar industry with presence in the healthcare sector.
Competent in the use of all Mitie’s software programs and Apps, such CARPS, Equip, Archibus, TopCat, MiCat & MiRec and analysing data using Mitie’s auditing systems.
Fully capable of understanding and maintaining the confidentiality across the site and respecting the needs of all stakeholders.
Can effectively plan and manage own workloads, however understands when to ask for support when needed.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage costs and ensure budgets are met
Represents Mitie and the client always in a professional, courteous and confident manner.
Health and Safety responsibilities:

Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
Report actual and suspected security incidents;
