The Role:

We are looking for an exceptional pre-sales solution engineer to join our Healthcare and Life Sciences Technical Architecture sales consulting team.

Broadly speaking, the Technical Architect helps customers understand how to leverage Salesforce solutions to:

  • Engage their members, patients, brokers, employees, and partners with beautiful, personalized applications that connect their enterprise and Salesforce data.

  • Improve productivity and collaboration by bridging internal teams with systems and siloed data.

  • Extend their CRM investment, leveraging the power of their CRM data within custom applications and intelligent workflows, predictive dashboards, smart service workflows, and more.

As a Technical Architect in our Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical, you will deliver on our core values of trust and innovation, providing thought leadership to customers throughout the sales cycle. You will establish yourself as a credible, trusted advisor translating business objectives into compelling solutions based on time spent with the customer and truly understanding their business. To achieve this, you will effectively leverage relationships developed both internally and externally with prospects and customers. You will interact with many different roles across both business and IT including C-level executives, developers, and admins, collecting appropriate business data, requirements, and feedback, to develop and position the most appropriate solution to meet the customer's needs.

Your Impact:

  • Actively engage and lead strategic sales engagements, both technical and business focused to build winning, differentiated solutions and value.

  • Work with internal sales teams to determine appropriate account development plans and execute on the best strategy to engage customers and prospects in support of defined sales cycles.

  • Articulate the benefits of our cloud based architecture to customers and prospects as they look to transform their business.

  • Evangelize the benefits of the Salesforce Platform and conduct technical workshops and education sessions.

  • Expertly present Salesforce technology, application development, infrastructure, security and integration capabilities and how they can be leveraged to best outcome for the customer.

  • Build and present customized demos highlighting technical capabilities and innovation available on the Salesforce platform.

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (e.g. alliances, sales effectiveness, product marketing, etc.) to develop and execute internal and external programs and initiatives.

  • Participate in required product, sales, procedural, and certification training to maintain, grow, and acquire the knowledge necessary to effectively present the value of our solutions..

  • Attain quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related degree

  • Ability to understand business & IT department requirements, translate those business needs into a compelling solution and present your recommendations to executive, technical, and business audiences.

  • Experience working as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant or developer in a customer facing role that provides IT with differentiated technical solutions. We are open to a variety of backgrounds.

  • Ability to think strategically and to advise companies on opportunities to transform their organization based on cloud computing innovations.

  • A solid knowledge of application design and development including:

  • Business process modeling

  • Database fundamentals

  • Web based and mobile application development and architecture

  • Application lifecycle management and DevOps

  • Coding experience a plus (Java or C#, JavaScript, python, Ruby, HTML5, etc.)

  • Existing Salesforce Platform (Lightning Platform, aka Force.com) development experience a plus

  • A solid understanding of enterprise application architecture, including:

  • Integration principles and tools

  • Enterprise Data Management tools and methods

  • Process orchestration

  • Principles of network, application and information security.

  • Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to support multiple, concurrent projects.

  • Ability to work as part of a strong and successful team to solve problems in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Healthcare or Life Sciences industry experience, including but not limited to:

  • Employment at a Payer/Provider or Pharma/Medical Device organization

  • Service or consulting role in the industry

  • Vendor role selling into the industry

  • Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.

  • Willing and able to travel occasionally.

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $110,740. This is a starting point, as grade level and subsequent salary ranges are vetted through the interview process. You may also be entitled to receive , bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
