The Partner Territory Account Manager (PTAM) is aligned to a Veritas field sales district(s) in the Northeast, as well as Eastern Canada. As a member of the extended district sales team, the PTAM drives for consistent alignment, collaboration and communication between the District Field Sales team, the Channel team and the Partners who drive business in the district(s). The PTAM leads the District Channel Plan, which is aligned to the Channel and Field critical priorities and is responsible for its execution.

Responsibilities:

Drive business results in the Northeast district and E. Canada region . Responsible for achieving indirect bookings number in the region by leveraging and managing the partner community to exceed quarterly and annual results. This includes weekly forecasting, deal identification, reviews and close plans with partners and field, as well as verification and follow up on Partner Opportunity Registration.

Drive strategic channel engagement in the region . Identifies and aligns the right partners to the right customer opportunities (with the right solutions) in the district. Coordinates and aligns partner activity with the managed partner team, inside sales and field sales. Includes participation in partner quarterly business reviews, conflict resolution, and engagement through partner events and activities.

Owns the field engagement with the partners . Drives awareness of the channel strategy, partner program and partner value with the field sales team. Coordinates and maximizes partner activity in alignment with the Northeast and E. Canada business/GTM plan. Includes active participation in field forecast reviews, team meetings and quarterly business reviews.

Partner enablement . Owns growing the number of partner sellers and SEs trained and certified on all Veritas solutions through regular enablement sessions and active account planning sessions with the sales teams necessary to build 4x pipeline in the territory.

Build partner executive relationships . A business professional that understand and can articulate how partners can make money with Veritas based on the strategic needs of the partners GTM model. Must be a partner in the boardroom vs a vendor in the hallway.

Pipeline Development. Proactive focus on building incremental pipeline with the field through partners. Includes working with inside sales, the managed partner team and channel field marketing to identify key sales plays, run enablement and pipeline events, target client alignment and to strategically invest partner development funds to drive pipeline in the district.

Qualifications:
  • Customer-focused,
  • Existing relationships with partners with coverage in the Northeast and E. Canada markets.
  • Experience working with channel partners who service enterprise, mid-market commercial and healthcare in the Northeast and E. Canada.
  • A self-motivated, effective time manager needing little direct management.
  • Tenacious without being aggressive.
  • Educated to a minimum of B.A./B.S. Degree level, MBA or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 8 Years+ of federal and public sector sales and channel experience.
  • Strong, documented track record of achievement against quota. Sales experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation skills. Candidates should be comfortable to present effectively to large audiences, both internal and external as well as at the executive level. Successful candidates will be required to give a presentation if invited to a follow-on interview.
  • Highly presentable, articulate with strong verbal and writing skills
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels, to gain trust and to exercise balanced judgment. This includes both internally and at senior levels with customers.
  • Proven, skilled negotiator.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
