About This Job

As a Specialty Healthcare Technical Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple implementations for Specialty Healthcare solutions across numerous Commerce Bank client locations. You’ll work closely with Commerce Bank clients, Account Managers, Sales Account Executives, other Technical Project Managers, and 3rd Party Vendors, to apply functional project management knowledge; project initiation/documentation, data gathering/scope requirements, solution build, testing/validation, production deployment, and project closure, while providing healthcare consultative recommendations and best practices. Solutions can include integrated receivables, healthcare lockbox services, patient payments, and patient financing, as well as, newly created products and product enhancements with both existing and new Commerce Bank clients.

This individual will meet directly with Senior Leadership, Operations, and Information Technology teams of internal and external companies to identify current processes and healthcare billing system workflows to develop recommendations, create efficiencies, and integrate our solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Manage implementation projects in a matrix environment, through completion, adhering to project management and operating standards, scope, cost, and timeline to achieve success

  • Analyze client workflows, consult on efficiency gaps/best practices, and provide technical guidance

  • Develop project plans that support business goals in collaboration with client stakeholders and Senior Leadership

  • Complete technical implementation setup tasks and coordinate internal and external team tasks

  • Proactively manage project scope changes, identify potential risks, issue investigation, contingency plan development, and support

  • Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) input on product enhancements based on client feedback

  • Lead client calls, communication, and end-user training

  • At times, assist the Sales Account Executives team during the sales process

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Strong working knowledge of revenue cycle practice management system(s) backend/technical build

  • Act as a technical advisor for a wide range of software solutions

  • Understand and communicate ANSI X12 file specification formatting, both internally and externally

  • SFTP file transmission set-up, testing, and production file flow

  • Technical file reconciliation (835, 837, XML and flat files)

  • API integration knowledge preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Salesforce

  • Intermediate to Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

    Education & Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Healthcare or Business Management, Computer Information

  • Systems, Project Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • 3+ years of project or business process management experience

  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred

  • 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle/back office experience with deep technical knowledge

  • CRCR certification preferred

  • Direct experience with industry leading practice management systems required

  • 3+ years of healthcare management consulting and/or professional services experience

  • Epic certification(s) preferred

  • 1+ years of financial analysis experience in a health-related organization

  • Proven success in driving operational process improvement and change management for revenue cycle optimization projects within hospitals and/or health systems
