Kuehne+Nagel Global Head of Quality Healthcare Vertical (m/f/d) in London, United Kingdom

The Global Head Quality Healthcare Vertical (m/f/d) will have overall accountability for the Kuehne+Nagel Group Healthcare Quality strategy and including execution of a customer facing operating model that includes quality assurance, compliance and sales.

Your Role

At Kuehne+Nagel, we care about the safe and efficient transportation of our clients sensitive healthcare products. For us it is not about simply moving shipments, it is about the wellbeing of patients. This new role will be foundational to the ongoing development of Healthcare Quality strategy. In collaboration with QSHE, you will be responsible for the enhancement of our Quality Management System, development of a fit for purpose regulatory framework and an operational quality structure, including a KPI baseline and balanced scorecard to monitor performance and drive continuous improvements. This opportunity offers the chance to develop strategic measures, support operational excellence and the positioning of quality during the sales process as well as room to grow and develop personally.

Your Responsibilities

  • Raise quality and compliance on the global healthcare team agenda and strategy and ensure any critical issues are identified and actioned appropriately

  • Collaborate with QSHE team to ensure that Kuehne+Nagel quality and healthcare operational standards are always current, fit for purpose and updated as per customer and regulatory needs

  • Identify Kuehne+Nagel Healthcare Quality differentiators from the competition and establish a sales & business development strategy exploiting these USPs

  • Maintain oversight, understand and share all relevant GxP standards and guidelines with the Healthcare team and customers as needed

  • Maintain a global training programme in alignment with the Healthcare training lead, which ensures both staff competency and regulatory compliance

  • Use customer and internal vertical operational KPIs and performance metrics to spot trends, identify issues, initiate interventions and prioritize performance improvements

  • Strong collaboration within the Global, Regional and National QSHE organization, contributing to both strategy and specific projects / initiatives

  • Ensure quality and operations synergy among Business and Functional Units wherever possible and appropriate

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Academic degree in Quality, Logistics, supply chain, Healthcare or equivalent

  • Extensive working experience in Healthcare Quality and Operations (logistics or manufacturing)

  • Preference for previous employment within Pharma, MedTech / Healthcare industry (manufacturers)

  • Profound experience in project management in an international matrixed / business environment and ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Quality and analytical mindset, structured way of thinking in combination with knowledge of continuous improvement analysis techniques

  • Pre-requisite to success is ability to manage and communicate with senior stakeholders within the customer and K+N

  • High credibility as well as ability to work in and lead cross-functional teams

  • Business fluent in English, any other language skill is a plus
