UMB’s Healthcare Services team delivers healthcare payment solutions including custodial services for health savings accounts (HSAs) and private label, multipurpose debit cards to insurance carriers, third-party administrators, software companies, employers and financial institutions. UMB Healthcare Services is one of the top custodians in the country and is a growing team within UMB, with a focus on an expanding product set along with customized solutions tailored to our partners. This team is critical to UMB’s growth strategy and allows our customers to have a single relationship for their banking and HSA needs.
The Healthcare Services Business Development Office Sr is the main point of new business generation for the healthcare services division. They focus on identifying prospects, cultivating relationships, and being a subject matter expert for UMB’s healthcare products and services. This role’s focus is on understanding our client’s needs and adding value. The HCS BDO Sr works with prospects and future clients throughout the sales and contract cycles and transitioning prospects to the Implementation and Client Experience teams, as appropriate.

Our business development team is fairly decentralized and offers a heavy amount of flexibility. Although working from a home office is common, our team works closely with other lines of business to support customers across the UMB footprint.
How you’ll spend your time:
You will establish a prospect call plan to identify and generate qualified leads.
You will navigate client organizations, identify needs and opportunities to add value, and prepare and present proposals to HCS prospects and clients.
You will operate CRM software to identify targets, build a pipeline, and track progress throughout the sales cycle.

You have 7+ years of experience in the healthcare payments industry with corresponding prospect relationships
You have 7+ years of sales experience
