Position Summary:The contract administrator reviews solicitations and prepares routine response for proposals & bids for Contracts specific to Clinical, equipment, supplies & services for opportunities as they relate to LUHS facilities. Manages and prepares simple requests for proposals. Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, CHETH corporate policies and business unit procedure. Communicates contract policy and practice to internal business teams. Ensures contract review, approval and execution in accordance with corporate and/or business unit guidelines. Prepares and administers routine correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal. Prepares, organizes and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance. May conduct research to support contract audit and or facilitate business unit contracting trends. Performs contract closeout activities. Responsible for E-contract Venor relationship and sourcing.
Position Requirements:Minimum Education: Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Masters DegreeMinimum Experience: Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experiencePreferred: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience
Position Responsibilities:Serve as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters. In collaboration wiht the Office of the General Council, provide redlined recommendations and often negotiate directly with our external vendor's legal or purchasing staff until consensus has been reached on all standard and non-standard contracts. Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with LUHS policy. Monitor compliance by LUHS employees with established procedures. Work with finance to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies, export controls and so on. Support product management/marketing to ensure products and services are offered with appropriate, competitive terms and conditions. Monitor competitive terms. Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation. Oversee service level agreement and purchased service compliance. Other duties as assigned.
