Job you will do Typical Day in the Life A typical day as a Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consulting Manager might include: Provides onsite and offsite revenue cycle assessment support for all types of healthcare providers. Assess compliance of rules and regulations within the revenue cycle. Research new and existing regulations and laws related to the healthcare revenue cycle. Develops new product offerings based on identified needs of clients. Attends various healthcare association meetings and conferences as a presenter and marketer as needed. Market services provided by self and cross sell services offered by others within the Firm. Writes articles relating to healthcare issues impacting healthcare providers. Provides internal educational sessions to staff to increase awareness of healthcare issues and awareness of service offerings. Manages client relationships with integrity by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service. Evaluates the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs. Provides feedback in order to develop the Health Care Consulting practice. Capitalizes on personal and professional experiences in order to develop business and practice lines. Provides training and delegates duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff, as applicable. Manages client billings to ensure they reflect work performed. Participates in community organizations and industry functions. Who You Are You are passionate about helping others and keeping up to date with ever-changing health care regulations. You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Health Care Administration or related field. You have 5-10 years of healthcare industry – revenue cycle, coding, or reimbursement experience. You have advanced knowledge of terminology, policies and practices, and financial programs of health care systems. You have well-rounded knowledge of laws and regulations related to the healthcare industry. You have knowledge of various healthcare software packages and electronic health record systems. You have skills in networking and developing business. You have the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects. You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients. You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
