The mission of Clinical Data Operations is to improve Mount Sinai Health System performance and outcomes by providing leadership and care teams with quantifiable data and insights needed for operations, clinical performance measurement, quality improvement, analytics and outcomes research. We provide solutions to integrate, cleanse, govern, translate and dispense information across Mount Sinai Health System’s clinical institutes and clinical care service lines.

Our team is seeking a Program Coordinator, Healthcare Analytics to understand, interpret, track and provide overall coordination to quality measurement program initiatives (US News ranking, pay-for-performance).

Challenges include:

  • Developing a thorough and complete understanding of complex quality-based measurement programs such as US News rankings and Commercial and CMS pay-for-performance programs.

  • Keeping analysts and teams apprised of most recent program changes, program performance, targets and benchmarks to aid in providing actionable recommendations for operational improvements.

  • Maintaining organizational knowledge for key programs as they evolve.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a scalable tracking system for all commercial and CMS pay-for-performance programs as well as US News ranking program.

  • Work closely with Head of Clinical Analytics and Managed Care Contracting Office to identify, track and updated quality-based performance targets.

  • Works with program leadership to expedite problem identification and resolution

  • Collects and enters data and performs analyses to support project planning, implementation, and progress toward improvements.

  • Conducts literature reviews and web searches to identify best practices and tools to support program initiatives

  • Works collaboratively to promote positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Works to ensure all necessary communications are made timely and accurately

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's (required) or Master's (preferred) in Business, Public Health, Economics or related field.

  • Strong or expert level Excel skills

  • Self-motivated with strong organization and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects through to successful completion within agreed upon deadlines.

  • Able to learn quickly on the job with minimal guidance.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with CMS programs VBP, HAC, and/or HRRP.

  • Familiarity with key data sets: HCAHPS, Hospital Acquired Infections, and/or others available on CMS Hospital Compare website.

  • Prior work in a clinical healthcare setting.

  • Understanding of healthcare clinical operations, workflow, policies, and procedures.
