GENERAL FUNCTION: Senior leadership role in the pitching, structuring, approval and execution of M&A and strategic advisory engagements. Develop relationships with senior executives both inside the bank and at our clients and prospects. Takes on a more independent role in deal execution with more limited oversight from the Managing Director and greater responsibilities in marketing and business development.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:. Leadership role in developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients focused on the delivery of advice and analysis around M&A and strategic alternatives.. Ability to effectively work and communicate within a team structure to deliver results.. Maintain in-depth market and industry knowledge and apply these skills to deliver expert financial advice to our clients.. Strong new business development skills needed to proactively evaluate new opportunities and effectively pitch and convert opportunities into engagement.. High attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality work product consistently.. Lead an M&A team in the structuring, approval and execution of M&A engagements from initiation to close.. Ability to assess complex situations and effectively negotiate successful outcomes.. Strong analytical and valuation skills.. Manage and prioritize a deal pipeline.. Optimize the talent and skills development of team members within the group.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential by providing challenging opportunities; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:. 10+ years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets.. MBA preferred but not required based on prior experience.. Proven track record of success in originating, structuring, and closing complex financial and M&A transactions.. Leadership experience and history of involvement in key decisions around a growing financial services business.. Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.. Strong mentoring and leadership skills.. Expertise in one or more industries.. MBA or functional equivalent preferred.. Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 license required.. Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63 license required.
