Challenges for the Health and Life Sciences Industry

The Industry Leader for U.S. Health & Life Sciences (HLS) plays a pivotal role in accelerating clinical decision making with our enterprise customers. Leans in with education programs to shape a world class industry sales organization and establishes the industry team as a thought leader, influencing customers and partners, as well as Microsoft’s product & GTM strategy,
This role will have organization-wide accountability, leading a team of subject matter experts across Payors, Providers, Med Tech and Life Sciences.
The majority of the clients will be based on the east coast.
As a Transformation Leader, accelerate clinical decision making.
Engage with CXO’s, helping them on their own digital transformation as they drive transformation through healthcare.
Develop a POV and narrative that aligns with Microsoft’s corporate strategy, affording a forward-looking perspective on the transformation occurring within healthcare.
Engage with clinical decision makers converging the line of business and technical workstreams, establishing Microsoft as the technology partner of choice.
Established, sought-after spokesperson and recognized expert in relevant local regulatory and policy environments, opening doors and removing barriers for our sales teams, partners, and customers.
Partner advocate - drive scale to our business through industry partner motions.
As a Sales Leader, educate and transform the industry selling motion.
Land the transformation of our sales teams, to increase industry knowledge and confidence engaging with clinical and business decision makers.
Lead with the art of the possible Industry expertise throughout our sales teams.
Bridge organizational boundaries to support healthcare customer across Microsoft, such as academic medical centers, federal and state health agencies.
As a strategic partner, influence our external and internal stakeholders.
Drive frictionless cross-team orchestration, consistently showing up to our Customers as One Microsoft.
Engage directly, with our corporate teams, to shape the future global health care strategy, product and engineering road maps, research agendas, industry priority solutions, and customer content, across all verticals and segments.
Continuous sharing of learning and insight within the sales organization and across other teams and headquarters

15+ years of related experience within the Healthcare or Life Sciences industries of which 5+ years includes senior leadership roles,managing high performance teams, preferably across health industry verticals.
Leadership & interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, coaching skills, cross-group collaboration, orchestration and proven ability to influence across organizational boundariesas well as executive leadership required
Strategic leadership with track record driving results through a team across a matrix organization.
Prior work experience within a large Healthcare or Life Sciences company OR at a competing cloud and software company (Oracle, IBM, SAP, SalesForce.com, VMWare, Cisco, Amazon, Google or equivalent) with a focus on Healthcare Industry preferred
