MuleSoft is looking for a motivated Solution Engineering Manager to join our extremely talented Pre-Sales Solution Engineering team, which is instrumental to MuleSoft's growth. As the Manager of Solution Engineering (Pre-Sales) Healthcare and Life Sciences Business Unit, you will help build and drive a high-growth business in collaboration with your peers in sales, customer success, and professional services, through leading and growing a team of Solution Engineers.
You will develop and allocate resources, perform employee reviews and evaluations, participate in strategic deals, and support team members as needed to grow the HLS business. You will be a player-coach, actively working together with your team members to solve difficult problems, and coordinating product team and partner resources when required. You will also drive strategic initiatives and programs as needed and actively support the team's career development and advancement.
Reporting directly to the Director of Solution Engineering for MuleSoft's HLS Business Unit, you will be a key member of the Solution Engineering leadership team for MuleSoft, and you will be responsible for building and developing pre-sales aspects of the business for territories across several key industries. These are the core skills you'll need to be successful:
3+ years of front-line SE leadership experience requested + experience in a fast-paced environment
Extensive experience leading or participating in complex Solution Engineering organizations
Experience in HLS Architecture and Integration technologies, with the ability to present to a business or technical audience
Effective interpersonal skills to create senior and executive relationships with key customer stakeholders
Proven record of strategizing on large, complex sales, with evidence of value and solution selling skills
Ability to act as a force multiplier and have a passion for team and team members' success by providing technical guidance, career development and mentorship
Ability to maintain high morale and motivate the SE team to go above and beyond - leading by exemplifying MuleSoft's core values: "be fearless", "own it", "be a good human", and "make it awesome"
Ability to communicate equally with internal resources such as Executive Leadership, Product Development, Product Marketing and Sales Management to gain commitment and support
Ability to collaborate cross functionally with Sales, Services, Customer Success teams, etc.
MuleSoft knowledge, certifications are added bonus
Experience selling enterprise software into the Healthcare and Life sciences industries
