JPMorgan Chase VP - Healthcare Credit Risk Officer - NYC in New York, New York

CIB Credit Risk Manager:

• provides credit expertise in structuring loan and derivative transactions, particularly leveraged transactions

• monitors a portfolio of clients within a specific industry focusing on both primary and operating exposure originating from the IB, trading desks, T&SS and Asset Management

• remains current on all aspects of the credit relationship, including exposure, threshold management, compliance, potential problems and opportunities

• regularly interacts with borrowers' management teams to obtain updates on financial performance and developments

• leads credit due diligence for bank and bond executions

• supervises, reviews and provides input on analysis and seeks credit and regulatory approval for all transactions individually or as part of a deal team

• uses assigned lending authority to approve exposures within limits

• leads or assists in negotiating and finalizing documentation for loans and derivatives

• works with IB Coverage and Global Corporate Banking on allocation of capital for clients

• provides a cohesive and comprehensive approach to review ratings, risk assessment, portfolios, clients and industries in their sector

• leads senior management presentations including annual portfolio risk reviews and quarterly tiering meetings

• performs Agent role for closed syndicated transactions, including negotiating and documenting amendments and waivers

• leads the discussion and responds to questions regarding clients during internal and regulatory meetings and audits of the portfolio

• assists with recruiting, training and development of junior team members

• opportunity to lead or actively participate in global committees that address best practices, recruiting/development/retention of talent or regulatory topics

The Healthcare team covers approximately 45 clients in the following sectors: Acute Care/Hospitals, Post Acute Care, Managed Care, Healthcare IT and Other Healthcare Service Companies, Pharmaceuticals/Biotech, Medical Devices & Supplies, Contract Research and Manufacturers, Pharmacy Benefit Managers and Wholesalers/Distributors.

Qualifications

• Strong credit background and analytical skills - demonstrates a strong grasp of accounting and corporate finance

• Knowledge of the Healthcare industry or relevant work experience preferred

• Possesses a solid understanding of leveraged lending, including cashflow and asset based lending and experience with financial sponsor transactions

• Possesses a solid understanding of financial products and market dynamics

• Strong communication skills - able to partner with internal groups and interface with external clients

• Ability to successfully work independently and as a part of a team
