Kellogg Key Account Executive - Healthcare in Pennsylvania

An integral part of the Kellogg Specialty Channel Sales team, you will be responsible for strategic plans with core Healthcare Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) Hospital Systems and geographically assigned National Accounts. You will develop sales plans and ensure execution of all National and Field activities related to the account(s). Developing customer relationship plans you will penetrate all levels and functions of the customer organization to position the company for future growth.   • Account Development – As a Key Account Executive you will strive to increase points of distribution within the customer footprint. You will review deployment annually and determine the optimal go-to-market model. This position involves pursuing top-down partnerships and leading the development and cross-functional implementation of growth driving Joint Business Plans.

  • Customer Expert - Promoting a customer-centered culture, you will develop a full understanding of IDN’s culture and mission. Your knowledge of their strategic imperatives and direction, and how best Kellogg can provide solutions to their overall organization will be key to your success.

  • Strategic Partnerships – You will collaborate effectively with field sales teams to execute business plans and key initiatives by increasing penetration rates, velocity and compliance at the operator level. Working with peers, together you will identify best practices and support each other’s efforts for the greater good of the organization

  • Analytics – Knowing your business will be imperative in driving sales growth. Understanding and effectively leveraging customer, industry, and internal sales information, you will drive and maintain a competitive advantage. Your analysis and application of financial disciplines will be necessary to enhance business decisions regarding the origination and renewal of large multi-year contracts / agreements.

  • Budget Management – Submitting a ccurate data will be necessary for finance to build customer Profit and Loss (P&Ls) and analysis.



  • Experience in either national account sales, regional sales or customer marketing.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with both the internal and external customers

  • Must be able to work in conditions of changing priorities

  • Must be highly skilled in computer and software applications, which are critical in order to effectively, execute the job. i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Must have the highest organizational skills and be totally self-sustained in order to effectively work remotely while traveling and / or from a home office.

  • Motor vehicle history with 2 or less moving violations within the last 36 months

    Bonus Points:

  • BA/BS Degree

  • Successful Healthcare and/or Foodservice field-based sales and account management experience

  • Significant experience in the consumer packaged goods products (CPG) industries

  • Experience working for Ad Agencies specializing in Retail or CPG customers or companies.


    The ideal candidate will reside in the Northeast Region (Virginia, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey or Massachusetts) near a major airport location. There may flexibility for individuals located in other locations in the Northeast.

  • This position requires extensive travel and an extended work schedule including some weekends.

  • There will be heavy weekly travel in this position including overnight travel estimated at 50% of the time. There may be some variation depending on location of residency.

  • This position provides participation in the Kellogg Auto Reimbursement program for individuals driving at least 5,000 business miles annually.
