Position Summary

Our Finance Operations team directly supports the strategic and tactical needs of our solutions, in order, to ensure profitable growth and operational effectiveness. Our primary goal is to assist Huron’s multiple practices to continue as high performing businesses. The team drives value by effectively and efficiently managing the key business activities or operations across our solutions. We help ensure that our businesses have the key resources needed to execute on their short and long-term strategy. Our team understands collaboration and communicates well with people at all levels, both within the US and India.

The Financial Analyst will be a member of the Operations team and will be client service oriented and possess strong financial analysis, management, and communication skills. This position will report to and work closely with the Director of Operations, as well as interact with Practice and Service Line leaders.

Qualifications

Job Details:

• Overall responsibility for helping to drive and support the financial performance of the practice

• Primary responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, working capital and financial reporting & analysis

• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance

• Provide complex financial analysis and modeling that will enable management to make informed decisions regarding growth, profitability and other needs of the business

• Provide financial analysis support to various cost centers when needed

• Maintain strong working relationships with Practice and Corporate stakeholders

• Collaborate across internal functional areas (Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Recruiting, Compensation, Resource Management, IT, Legal) to ensure optimal outcomes for the practice

• Ad-hoc reporting & analysis when needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; Finance, Accounting, or Economics degree preferred

  • 5+ years of prior work experience in finance or accounting

  • 5+ years of experience in the consulting industry or professional services

  • Prior supervision and/or mentoring experience

  • Advanced systems and Excel skills

  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to analyze data and summarize into recommendations and actions

  • Ability to manage, oversee and execute a portfolio of competing tasks and initiatives
