Location: Richland, Washington

This position is responsible for reporting and analysis of healthcare information,

obtained from a variety of sources, including administrative, clinical, financial, and

demographic data. Responsibilities include the development and preparation of

data to provide useful information and commentary for internal and external

stakeholders. This entails working with our data systems to pull information,

analyzing the information in Excel or other tools and presenting the data to various

leaders and staff within the organization.

  • Ensures integrity of clinical data and data process.

  • Responds to requests for detailed data to support report findings.

  • Understands investigation and knowledge of data sources and the data

process flow, as well as auditing to ensure data validity and reliability.

  • Analyzing data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare management and

decision-making.

  • Develops and maintains strong business relationships with internal business

partners, including all levels of management and other data users.

  • Understanding healthcare business operations.

  • Using healthcare data to achieve administrative needs and goals.

  • Performs analysis for problem solving and new methodologies by extracting

data using tools and compiling data from EHR, Data warehouse and other

systems.

  • Delivers high quality results on time

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with five years’ experience working with healthcare data,

quality management, performance management, public reporting and

statistics required.

  • Project management experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of data systems preferred.

  • Works as liaison between IT and clinical disciplines to ensure accurate

communication about requested information and that the most effective and

efficient data collection efforts are achieved.

  • Experience with translating business partner needs into accurate and robust

management reports.

  • Working knowledge of the design, construction and use of complex relational

databases required.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Access and Visual Basic macros.

  • Proficient with database programming languages such as SQL and Oracle.

  • Proficiency managing electronic medical records.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required

  • Good written and verbal communication. Strong experience in understanding

business partner needs, documenting partner needs, documenting detailed

report requirements, and the generation of reporting test cases.

  • Ability to express complex analytical and technical information to senior

management or to audiences with clinical training.

  • Two plus years related experience in data analysis required
