Conduent Healthcare IT Project Manager / Healthcare Program Manager in Richmond, Virginia

Position is a "work from home" position located anywhere in United States

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, directs, controls and delivers complex projects and/or programs prioritized in alignment with the client's expectations and business needs. Projects may include multiple technology disciplines and/or significant business process re-engineering efforts.

  • Manages people for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of projects and/or programs into a finished state.

  • Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets.

  • Organizes project and/or program activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.

  • At times, directs the activities of project support staff, project managers, and sub-contractors and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are allocated and maintained to facilitate the successful completion of the project.

  • Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, such as systems analysts and programmers, providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives.

  • Manages and coordinates priorities between projects or within a program that requires critical thinking and complex problem solving.

  • Leads and communicates project scope, goals and responsibilities to project team; establish clear stakeholder expectations, and requirements of varying degrees of complexity.

  • Develops and maintains reporting procedures and monitor performance in project and program control activities.

  • Develops and distributes reports related to project activities, general project management, and financial issues.

  • Working knowledge of claims adjudication and payment platforms, encounters, authorizations, EDI, 837's, and fee schedules.

  • State funded and Medicare/Medicaid programs is preferred.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills/Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree. In some circumstances, exceptional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

  • Working knowledge of claims adjudication and payment platforms, encounters, authorizations, EDI, 837's, and fee schedules.

  • State funded and Medicare/Medicaid programs is preferred

  • Infrastructure experience is preferred with a high-level working knowledge of setting up new environments, data center moves, firewall rules, VDI, and MFA.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to ITIL, CMMI, and SDLC processes is required.

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior project management position.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a must. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, clients, and senior executives.

  • Fluency with MS Office suite,MS Project Online, WBS Pro, Agile and Waterfall methodology, JIRA, Kanban, VSTS, and Visio

  • Must have strong organization, presentation, and problem solving skills.

  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines and work extended hours when necessary.
