3D Systems, a leading global provider of 3D printing solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager for our Personal Healthcare Services business segment.
The position will manage individual leads and channel relationships and work to build sales strategies and plans that will grow market share. This will involve identifying new customers, expanding revenue opportunities with current customers, and evolving new channels for expansion. The Business Development Manager - Personal Healthcare Services* *is expected to be a critical source of customer insight to be used in strategic planning and budget development. It will also be responsible for partnership relationships and contract negotiations.
This role can be located anywhere within the U.S.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develops and implements business development plans and forecasts to achieve 3D Systems Personal Healthcare Services objectives.
Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of 3D Systems Personal Healthcare Services products and/or services.
Develops and recommends positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share and profitable growth.
Provides weekly updates, accurate territory sales forecast, monthly status reports, and quarterly sales projection reports.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within medical device and healthcare field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Experience in selling to medical device companies is desired.
_Education and Experience_
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
5-10 years of technical sales experience working with and in medical device companies.
Possesses a proven track record of significant and measurable success.
_Knowledge, Skills & Abilities_
Thorough knowledge of medical device manufacturing development and sales life cycle.
Experience in creating presentations that translate product and benefits into measurable, quantifiable cost savings.
3D printing, manufacturing, and patient specific digital design experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to be comfortable in fast-paced environment.
Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
Requires an ambitious and optimistic personality with an aggressive approach to selling, a reputation of integrity and a track record of creatively satisfying customer needs.
Comfort working in a matrixed environment with other business units.
Must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality.
Must be willing to travel extensively.
