Global Service Resources is looking for a contract Ultrasound Tech for Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego.
Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: Negotiable. Competitive.
Looking for someone who has worked for several years as a Perinatology or OBGYN ultrasound technician.
MUST HAVE OBGYN EXPERIENCE
With minimal supervision, the ultrasonographer:
-Performs ultrasound examinations on children& adults.
-Exercises independent judgment & ingenuity to perform a variety of sonographic examinations that require a comprehensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology & sonographic principles.
-Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
The professional level of this health care service requires a highly skilled & competent individual who functions as an integral member of the health care team.
The ultrasonographer must be able to produce& evaluate ultrasound images & related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis.
The ultrasonographer must acquire &maintain specialized technical skills & medical knowledge to render quality patient care.
-H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
-Graduate of an approved school for Diagnostic Ultrasound (approved by AMA and AIUM)
-2 Years of Experience (Preferred)
-1-2 Years of experience in OB/GYN preferred in MFM.
-MUST HAVE OBGYN EXPERIENCE
-CPR/BLS Certification (AHA)
-Nuchal certification through FMF or NTQR
-Ultrasound ARDMS/RDMS Certified
-Eligible for OB/GYN ARDMS certification (Must obtain license within 6 months of hire)
-Current NT certification with NTQR or FMF
-Fetal Echo ARDMS certification
-Radiology Ultrasound-ARDMS or CardiacUltrasound-RDCS or CCI certification-eligible; certification must be obtained within two years of hire.
-Experience in procedures including amniocentesis and chronic villus sampling
-Provides age-appropriate care for one or more of the following age groups routinely: Neonate, Infant, Child, Adolescent, and Adult by following within department competencies & standards.
-Performs high-quality, normal & complex ultrasound exams enabling the physician to make accurate diagnoses of various congenital & acquired organ system abnormalities by following department protocols.
-Cardiac Only: Assists & participates with technical ultrasound training of technologists & Pediatric Fellows by serving as a preceptor, providing a presentation or some other education approved by the department director.
-Cardiac Only: Accepts responsibility for daily operational maintenance of the Echo Lab supplies & equipment by following within the department protocols.
-Seeks opportunities for professional development by participating & attending in-services, educational seminars,& tech/staff meetings by following within the department protocols
Must have recent shots, immunizations, TB Test and Fit Test done already- if not, you must update them on your own dime. Our registry will cover the drug and background check.
Once interviewed, the on-boarding process may take 2 to 4 weeks.
