Job Description:

As a Healthcare Informaticist I, you will provide informatics guidance and act as a liaison between the clinical and IT departments, leveraging both health care knowledge to provide innovative solutions. As a member of this team, you will facilitate bi-directional feedback and provide data and other documentation to support application workflow development. You will also observe and assess application workflows across Cerner and non-Cerner platforms and solutions, focusing on utilization, efficiency and end-user support. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for application workflow re-design through end-user observation and analysis of feedback and system data. In addition, you will evaluate installed applications to identify opportunities for enhancements and establish trusted relationships with department leaders inside the client organization. Finally, you will be responsible for leveraging system data and performance against targeted outcomes to identify end-user learning needs and ensure availability of appropriate learning resources and tools.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education including:

  • At least 1 year of licensed health care practice, health informatics, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or client-facing or other HCIT solution work experience

  • At least 3 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education including:

  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Health Care, Science, Bachelors degree in Health Informatics or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse – State Board

  • At least 1 year of Cerner work experience

  • At least 1 year of experience working in an EMR

Expectations

  • Must reside in or around the Springfield, MO area

  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
