While reporting to the Solutions Architecture Leader, Connected Care, you will s upport the Southwest area within the U.S. West Zone for Philips, which is comprised of the following States: CA (Southern), AZ, NM, NV, and HI . For this position, you will travel occasionally onsite to our customer locations and within the assigned territory. Travel is expected to be up to 30% ; otherwise, this is a work from-home opportunity (based out of the Pacific or Mountain time zones).

As the Healthcare Enterprise Architect, you will provide technical leadership to our sales, marketing, as well as the R & D teams to increase our market share by identifying and developing the correct solution(s) for our customers. You are a trusted advisor for our customers providing consultation focused on solutions that will allow them to be successful at delivering meaningful patient care.

The role focuses on differentiating our healthcare solutions from our competition helping to drive clinical and technical standardization and transitioning to recurring revenue as a service business model. To accomplish this you will, develop the correct solutions and systems architecture along with the deployment strategy that can be executed across our customer’s enterprise.

This is a unique sales support role that allows someone who is highly technical and proficient with soft skills, to really succeed. You will be listening to what customers are trying to accomplish aligning their needs with the most impactful and optimized solutions enabling delivery of better and more accurate care to their patients while improving outcomes. You are responsible for

  • Assesses client’s business, clinical and technical needs, and strategies as they pertain to our solution offerings providing recommendations.

  • Defines system solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.

  • Position Philips solutions and the continuum of services including installation, implementation, consulting/workflow, and education services along with post-implementation maintenance and support.

  • Provide a link between product marketing and the sales organization to ensure that products and services are being positioned to maximize customer value.

  • Solicit and relay market feedback to product development organization based upon customer experiences.

  • Recommends professional services of added value to the proposed offerings along with the associated rationale and benefit.

  • Collaborate with sales representative(s) to develop, position, and propose highly complex technical solutions enabling customer confidence and outcomes.

  • Acts as the technical SMEs (subject matter experts) for our internal (sales) and external customers with key areas of focus around systems architecture, interoperability, integration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.

  • Work with the delivery organizations to transition from the proposal phase to the engagement and solution delivery phase.

  • Actively contribute to solutions development with R&D and marketing teams representing the North America market.

  • Actively assist sales teams with sales training and opportunities.

  • Align long term solutions strategy with customers vision delivering technology plans related to proposed solutions.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Superb written, presentation, and communication skills with technical focus and background.

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant extensive professional experience (ex. technical certifications) preferably in one of the following disciplines - physical or biological science, engineering, computer science and/or information systems.

  • 5+ years of experience in medical technology capital equipment sales, healthcare professional services sales and/or infrastructure and sales engineer experience.

  • More than 5 years of customer facing experience, preferably in healthcare solutions and/or software/application sales or presales.

  • Experienced professional focused on software solutions/application sales.

  • Solid understanding of IT and Healthcare IT technologies aligned to market trends (ex. telehealth & mobility)

  • Excellence in technical capabilities/knowledge (certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS, VCP, CYSA+ or other specialties ideal)

  • Knowledge of systems architecture, infrastructure (datacenter, storage, virtualization, networking, cloud & advanced applications/EHR)

  • Possess working operational knowledge of healthcare informatics including HL7, DICOM, WCM, FHIR, IHE, as well as custom API’s/integrations.

  • Proven ability to work unsupervised and drive opportunities with team centric solutions sales approach.

  • Demonstrated team leadership or willingness/ability to manage advanced long-term projects

  • Requires a broad understanding of multiple technology solution areas in healthcare with specialized knowledge in those areas where solutions are utilized in the customer environments.

  • Strong ability to communicate across varying roles from systems users and administrators (ex. DBA) to executive decision makers (CIO/CISO/CMIO/CNO)
