OBJECTIVE:
To serve meals to the residents dining in the Frederick Dining Room, Schlemmer Bistro and Arcadia Dining
Rooms and to assist in the dining experience as needed while maintaining the quality of customer service as set
forth by the Dining Services Department and Bishop Gadsden.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
Ensure appropriate menus and place settings are on tables.
Prepare wait station and complete opening side work as assigned.
Stock and assemble appropriate condiments, dry goods, and other items needed for meal service.
Organize and assemble meal room service trays.
Organize trays by hall/room number.
Ensure tray item accuracy and compliance to modified menus as required.
Understanding of and adherence to special dietary needs of residents.
Ability to operate a computerized POS (point of sale) system.
Serves food and beverages to residents in a professional manner.
Ensures accuracy of requested menu items.
Continuous maintenance of table with regard to residents’ needs.
Assist with menu selections as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of dining room and server areas at all times in accordance with DHEC guidelines.
Follows and understands proper protocol regarding labeling and dating of all food items.
Completes closing side work as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior food service experience preferred.
Prior working experience and/or interacting with an elderly population preferred.
