The Market Research Manager - Healthcare & Life Sciences will will leverage appropriate research methodologies to fill the needs of the organization, including the design, execution and interpretation of market research studies and the clear communication of the insights and recommendations arising from the research. The Researcher will also have responsibility for competitive intelligence including the identification of knowledge gaps, the creation of key intelligence topics and key intelligence questions to fill those gaps, the leveraging of appropriate competitive intelligence methodologies to obtain the needed intelligence, and the clear communication of the intelligence, its implications for the organization, and recommendations.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Identify market research needs, and then design, execute and interpret market research studies, including the analysis of primary and secondary sources.
• Conduct competitive intelligence studies, including the identification of knowledge gaps, and the clear communication of the intelligence and related implications and insights. Identify benchmarks to inform ideal test price, and customer purchase experience.
• Gather evidence to support SomaSignal test development through secondary research and by providing input into the design of clinical trials.
• Work directly with Marketing, Product Management and Clinical teams to gather requirements for research and then to ensure the incorporation of market research and competitive intelligence insights into the development of a product pipeline and product marketing strategies and tactics.
Bachelor’s degree in business, technical or related field. Master’s level coursework or MBA degree is a plus.
Skills and experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in market research or research-based projects, preferably in the healthcare and/or diagnostics space
Experience conducting projects where deadlines and results were critical success factors
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Rigorous organizational and documentation skills
Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas effectively in writing and orally to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
Work is in typical office environment with extended time at a computer. The SomaLogic campus consists of several buildings adjacent to each other with meetings spread across the campus. Minimal travel, less than 5% of time, may be required for collaborator meetings.
