Your role, and what you’ll be doing...

We’re hiring a Tableau Services Senior Sales Account Partner to come and join our Customer Solutions team. This role will support the Tableau Industry Vertical team with a focus on the Healthcare Life Sciences segment. We’ll rely on your strategic approach to developing and building relationships with our internal enterprise sales business, our Salesforce core selling team, and both our enterprise customers (new and existing).

You are a passionate, strategic, services sales expert with exceptional enterprise business acumen and a solution sales background. You will be the Trusted Advisor to our customers, with the primary goals of helping the customers generate significant business value from their Tableau investment, while ensuring Tableau’s YOY growth in overall services bookings and revenues.

You will be expected to understand and manage our customers throughout their lifecycle, driving adoption through sales activity for new and existing customers; this will include pipeline generation and delivering sales presentations to C-level clients.

Main areas of responsibilities:

  • Meeting or exceeding assigned quota for professional services (includes consulting, support, and education offerings)

  • Maintaining an accurate forecast for revenue target achievement and pipeline, working collaboratively with account executives to ensure the CRM information is accurate and up-to-date with all professional services opportunities and detailed notes

  • Working collaboratively with the license sales team to support solution sales of the Tableau platform with the appropriate professional services offerings to ensure customer adoption, success, and rapid value achievement

  • Actively participating in sales meetings, clearly articulating the Tableau value prop and the benefits of investing in professional services towards the achievement of the clients’ stated goals and use cases

  • Leading scoping discussions and acting as the subject matter expert on all professional services offerings and engagements

  • Creating and presenting project proposals to clients for professional services solutions

  • Creating and presenting Statements of Work (SOWs) to clients for consulting engagements, working closely with Tableau’s Services Operations and Legal teams, and the customer to negotiate and close contracts.

  • Defining and executing services account plans and strategies in collaboration with the extended sales team

  • Attending and participating in QBUs with the extended sales team and the services practice

  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers to support customer success and adoption, to understand any changes in business needs or Tableau use cases, and to support the sale of additional services offerings as appropriate

  • Maintaining a solid understanding of all Tableau product lines and corporate messaging, both licenses and services.

  • Keeping abreast of competition, competitive differentiators, and product offerings

  • Traveling as needed to customer meetings and events, once travel restrictions are lifted (North America only)

Who you are…

  • Experienced. 5+ years in a customer-facing position as a sales professional, professional services seller, or project leader/engagement manager with an enterprise software company’s consulting organization. You’ve worked complex solution sales, have six-figure deal experience, and have held a quota of $3M+. You’ve worked in the enterprise space and have experience working with and selling to Fortune500 companies.

  • Domain Expert. Healthcare Life-Sciences experience preferred but not required. Experience with professional services, customer success, enterprise software, analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling, or business intelligence preferred. Bachelor's Degree with a technical or business focus preferred.

  • Performer. Consistent overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory. High customer satisfaction rankings or feedback.

  • Strong communicator, listener, and presenter. You know what to say and more importantly, how to say it and you love the idea of sharing the Tableau story. You also know when and how to listen. You aren’t shy about speaking to or in front of a group of executives.

  • Team Player. You work well with a team and are a great collaborator. You know how to express your point of view while also valuing the contributions and opinions of others. You support your colleagues and are a key player in team-wins.

  • Go-Getter. Highly driven individual with a focus on execution and a strong sense of urgency. Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic. Self-directed and resourceful. You go beyond relationship management and have a passion for customer success.

  • Entrepreneurial. You’re excited about working in an evolving and maturing part of the business and will bring your experience and ideas to the team as we grow. You have a belief in Tableau's mission and have a passion for evangelizing it.

  • Creative and Energetic. Energy and enthusiasm are your hallmarks. You think out-of-the-box and wow people with your interesting angles and quality work. You love the creative process – whether that’s selling a new customer or recruiting a great salesperson.

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $187,300. You may also be entitled to receive incentive compensation and benefits.
