Sodexo Healthcare & Seniors are currently seeking a Senior Project Director, Transformation & Program Office

This is a remote role and can sit near any major airport on the east coast!

Reporting through to the Global SVP Healthcare & Seniors Transformation, this position is responsible for the successful delivery of program and project management services across the Healthcare change portfolio. As well as acting in day to day support to the current SVP, the Senior Project Director, Transformation & Program Office will have a primary accountability to form the integrated ‘functional’ roadmap and associated delivery for Healthcare & Seniors across NORAM.

The functional models and roadmap accountability are critical - the activity underpins the growth & profitability engine of the Healthcare & Seniors NORAM segments through integrating the delivery of the Segment Strategy, HR Plan, Finance Plan, Brand & Comms plan alongside IT delivery to create maximum efficiency and leverage across the internal customer life cycle. It is critical the role holder can both influence and strategically support the respective executive stakeholders to translate the functional strategies into tangible program design and delivery workstreams (roadmap) and apply fit for purpose project discipline to ensure delivery of the roadmap to time, scope and cost along with the expected Functional Outcomes.

Purpose of the Job:

  • Monitor and ensure a common program structure is applied in the deployment of change throughout the program.

  • In collaboration with the functional leadership, ensure a timely change and communications plan is constantly in place and executed to drive the necessary advocacy for change across the segment

  • Lead a highly effective Functional workstream lead community to ensure suitable governance and effectiveness of the delivery of outcomes.

  • Work collectively across the HC & Seniors Program Office team in support of delivery of the functional mission & objectives.

  • Effectively manage the resolution and escalation of complex business or project issues and risks to mitigate adverse delivery impacts on the strategy.

  • Provide feedback for process improvement, lessons learned, program enhancements, and strategic alignment with business or other programs.

  • Enable the design, integration and delivery of the Healthcare & Seniors Functional Portfolio of change in alignment with the Business strategy, transformation plan, or business environment parameters.

  • Act as right arm to the Healthcare Executive leadership across HR, Finance, Comms and the IT interface in delivery of integrated Functional change activity.

  • Actively manage and monitor the program & roadmap critical path to proactively anticipate and address potential risks and issues in a timely fashion.

  • Formulate Targets and Track Functional Outcome KPIs to ensure the results of the functional change portfolio delivery are in line with forecast/budget commitments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability & experience in working in a Operational or Functional environment and delivery of positive business outcomes

  • Project management / PMO experience and discipline

  • Ability to quickly establish and foster rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization and to be considered an influential business support partner who can work with and gain support from cross-functional executives’ leaders and staff.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the SVP Transformation & Program Office, the Senior Director, Healthcare & Seniors Transformation & Program Office Role Holder is accountable to: 1) lead the inception, design, delivery and governance of the Healthcare & Seniors transformation and change program (one of the three pillars of the Healthcare & Seniors Operating Model – Commercial Excellence, Operational Excellence or Functional Excellence) that underpins the execution of the overarching Healthcare & Seniors Segments’ 3-year Strategic Plans; 2) drive the successful delivery of key strategic priorities and initiatives; and 3) provide strategic direction to change initiatives and generate synergies across teams, segments and regions. The role will own the overall evolution and governance of both segments’ Operating Models (and all key components).

This position is also responsible for the successful operation of the Healthcare & Seniors Program Office (PMO) and delivery of program and project management services across transformation and change portfolio. The Role Holder acts as control tower for both segments to ensure all change initiatives and projects are planned, deployed and executed consistently to realize the projected sustained business benefits and outcomes.

Recognizing the strategic importance of Healthcare & Seniors NORAM (the businesses equate to 70% of the Global Healthcare business and 40% of the Global Seniors business), the Role Holder plays a strategic role in building the Global transformation and change program for Healthcare & Seniors. With an additional direct line of report into the Global SVP Transformation, the position will support the inception, design, delivery and governance of the Global Healthcare & Seniors transformation and change portfolio in order to leverage the NORAM model globally as it is the largest region for the segments. The role holder will collaborate with other regional PMOs to support the successful delivery of the global portfolio.

The role holder will work in close collaboration with the Segment Executive Leadership Teams (typically SVP level), regional and global stakeholders in enabling the program to deliver across a 3-5 year time period with: i) laser sharp clarity on delivery of the strategic goals of the segment (which have a direct bearing on the overall performance of the Group); ii) tenacity to deliver in a complex external and internal environment; and iii) sufficient personal credibility, skill, expertise and experience to govern program performance and hold senior leadership and stakeholders to account across the extensive lifecycle of the transformation and change program.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 10 years

Basic Functional Experience - 10 years of project management experience, including PMO
