Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Colorado provides residential and community based services in the mental health industry. We are looking to add a Finance Specialist (A/R) to our team. The ideal candidate for this position will be a dynamic individual, who is solutions driven, and able to work independently. The Finance Specialist (A/R) isresponsible for timely billing and collection of assigned funder/patients accounts, meeting accounts receivable financial standards, reconciles posted cash/credit cards payments received for assigned accounts timely and accurately, records revenue for assigned program(s), ensures revenue is earned correctly throughout the month and before month end deadline by verifying attendance, census, billing rate, and funder set up. Prepares and keys refunds and write-offs, and assists with clearing credit balances. Collaborates with the Finance Manager to prepare the accounts receivable cash forecast and AR aging analysis. Research changes in revenue month over month. Verifies and researches client insurance information on invoices received by Devereux related to external client billings (such as medical, dental, prescription etc.), works with Accounts Payable to minimize liabilities to Devereux. Uses their expertise to research funder website and other resources related to billing requirements. Provides status and explanation of the Accounts Receivable status of the Center at minimum on monthly bases to the Finance Manager or as requested.

Previous experience in healthcare revenue cycle, and general accounting preferred
